Wardrummer's fur is done by by making thousands of tiny cuts in the ApoxieSculpt that makes up his skin. ApoxieSculpt, unlike clay, is slightly elastic and tends to stetches slightly when you try to cut it. This produces the layering effect you can see on his chest. It gives the fur a nice depth

He was given away at FurFright 2004 ( [link]) as a prize for the Rage CCG tournament.
